Nada Frazier, Founder of The Sacred Servant, accompanies and supports people through life and death experiences.  The Sacred Servant end-of-life doula accompanies, guides, empowers, comforts, and supports those with advanced illness or approaching end of life, as well as their family and caregivers.*

The core of The Sacred Servant's services stem from providing planning, preparation and organizational support, as well as educational training through individual consultations, group and community workshops, and mentoring other end-of-life doulas. She also provides end-of-life doula consulting, training and mentoring to hospice staff, trainers, and volunteers.
The word "doula" comes from the Greek language referring to an important female household servant.  End-of-Life Doulas have been supporting the dying process since ancient times. The National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA) defines an End-of- Life Doula as one who "provides non-medical, holistic support and comfort to the dying person and their family, which may include education and guidance as well as emotional, spiritual or practical care. The essence of doula care is to provide non-medical, non-judgmental support and guidance to individuals and families through times of critical, transformative life change."
*The Sacred Servant does not provide medical care, mental health counseling, or legal services.
